Abhijit Bansod
A jesters muse…
Abhijit Bansod is a quirky designer who thinks not just out of the box, but out of the whole carton. In the circus of life his lateral line of thought is the jester's domain. His products are alive…they speak a strange language that everyone understands.. Layered with whimsical wit and a jack-in-the box love of surprise, the products also conjure in us pain and emotion. They escape the Pandora’s box of mere functionality to beautifully reveal stories and poems to us.
Abhijit’s products talk to you, not just about you. He believes that there is interactivity between products and their users, heightening creativity and imagination. His designs leak from his pores, evolving from his journey through life- getting inspiration disguised as lightning bolts from people, nature and everyday situations. Invoking memory. Interpreting contemporary culture in his inimitable and rather eccentric way.
Putting the human back in design.

RAVAGE POSTCARDS FOR FASHION WEEK
postcard copy
design and concept by tsk design, Bangalore
the campaign used the textures and layering inherent in the designers' work and extended the feel into postcards that showed everyday products like drills, Rin and motor oil cans being held by models. the locations were also chosen according to this feel.
our task was to integrate the description of the clothes into this aesthetic.
textured long tunic in nudes and browns with mixed block prints and stencils for RUGGED, gypsy look. worn with a silk textured jacket, CONSTRUCTED from BUILDING patch on to patch. customised, layered fabric buttons add to the hippy, FRAYED look.
White and black ensemble with STRONG graphic geometry. The skirt isshaped with extra VOLUME, and has a matte, raised effect. The top is feminine and Victorian inspired, PUNCTURED with polka dot cut-outs heavy with texture, and an open rugged finish. Woven by Ravage in silk and cotton.
